Disc Makers Becomes First Independent Media Manufacturer to Offer DualDisc Format

New CD/DVD combo format will now be an option for every packaging format that Disc Makers' offers — at a price that is affordable for independent artists

August 22, 2005, (Pennsauken, NJ) Disc Makers, the nation's leading independent media manufacturer, announces it will offer the DualDisc format to its replication customers — and at an affordable price for independent artists. The DualDisc will now be an available option for every Disc Makers' disc packaging format.

DualDisc technology combines CD and DVD content onto one double-sided disc, with CD content on one side and DVD content on the other. It allows artists to include exclusive video clips, photo galleries, audiophile sound formats, and computer-ready multimedia along with the album's audio tracks onto a single double-sided disc that plays in most CD and DVD players.

"DualDisc will allow our customers to turn their new release into a cutting-edge, retail-savvy product that is an exciting purchase for their fan base," explains Tony van Veen, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Disc Makers. "This product continues Disc Makers' tradition of helping every independent artist promote and sell themselves like a major label artist."

To submit a project for DualDisc formatting, artists need only to submit their CD and DVD masters, along with artwork, and Disc Makers will do the rest. As part of the DualDisc package, Disc Makers includes a free 3.5" x 3.5" educational card insert to inform customers about the advantages and limitations of the DualDisc format. And, for just 10¢ per disc, Disc Makers will add a DualDisc sticker to each package.

If DualDisc does not quite fit into the budget, Disc Makers offers a full line of affordable CD and DVD combination packages including the Double Digipak Combo and Double Jewel Box Combo.
